Jones' supercharged LTD attempts to pass other cars while in a tunnel filled with traffic. The sequence is charged with kinetic action and is quite sharp. These shots' background plates are actually a miniature tunnel shots, featuring model vehicles, since it would have been nearly impossible to shoot these plates in a real tunnel. The 1/8th scale miniature tunnel was supervised by Steve Gawley and Chris Reed, and shot by Pat Sweeney with a motion-control camera.
