Joe Dante, the director of GREMLINS and THE 'BURBS, helms SMALL SOLDIERS, a zany new film that centers around supermicrochips implanted into children's toys. The result is TOY STORY meets GI JOE.

Making the action figures come to life is Industral Light & Magic under the supervision of Stefen Fangmeier (TWISTER). ILM has created a great deal of CG character animation for the film. Providing the physical puppets for the film is Stan Winston Studios.
