For MTV's 1998 Movie Awards, BFTR provided all of the main title sequence imagery and interstitial category animations, featuring a science fiction themed take on the Muybridge motion studies. Using a combination of Strata Studio Pro on the Mac and 3D Studio Max on Intergraph NTs, with Adobe After Effects tying it all together, artists Frank Vitale, Jeb Milne, Alec Bartsch, Ian Marks and Creative Director Van Ling designed and executed a series of ten-second vignettes for such funky categories as Best Kiss, Best Villain, Best Onscreen Duo and Best Fight Sequence.
