Banned from the Ranch Entertainment ("BFTR") is a production company
and "visioning service" dedicated to bridging the gap between
state-of-the-art digital technology and the entertainment industry.
Partners Casey Cannon and Van Ling together bring over 18 years
of experience in the film, video and music industries to the company,
armed with some of the most versatile and powerful digital tools
available and supported by a select handful of talented artist-technicians
drawn from the ranks of some the most respected companies in the
business: DreamWorks, Lightstorm Entertainment, Industrial Light
and Magic and Avid Technology.
With practical experience in areas ranging from product placement,
licensing, marketing and promotion to theme park attractions,
from live concerts and stage performance to music recording and
producing, from on-set video and computer display graphics to
both traditional and digital visual effects, from film/video postproduction
to nonlinear digital editing, and from laserdisc/DVD/video and
home theatre to interactive multimedia and Internet communication,
BFTR not only has a firm understanding of the burgeoning digital
arenas, but also has a solid foundation in the ways of traditional
filmmaking, storytelling and presentation, with its role on projects
ranging from hands-on production to ongoing or one-time consultation.
